DUNDELA stunned leaders Portadown with a 2-0 win at Wilgar Park and could surge three points clear at the top of the PlayR-Fit Championship when Dergview make the long trek from west Tyrone to east Belfast on Tuesday night.

The Ports - battling for an immediate return to the top flight - head the Duns on goal difference but have played two games more.

Jordan Jenkins, with a 50th minute penalty after Charlie Dornan had tumbled in the box, and Lee Rea in stoppage time were on target for Stephen Gourley's side.

Newington are fourth, just four points off the pace, thanks to a 4-1 hammering of inconsistent Ards at Larne's Inver Park.

A Zach Barr double along with goals from Aódhfionn Casey and Jack Reilly had the north Belfast Swans flying.

Institute had missed the chance to join Portadown at the summit when they could only draw 2-2 with Dergview under the Friday night lights at Darragh Park.

Stute though will regard it as a point gained after coming back from two goals - and a man - down.

Dergview led at the break through Niall McGinley and just after the interval Stute lost Evan Tweed for two cautions in quick succession.

Shane McMonagle made it 2-0 before Sean McCarron pulled one back.

Deep into stoppage time, McCarron's cross was turned into his own net by Dergview's Blaine Burns.
