BELFAST social media star Olivia Neill stars in a new television programme that investigates some of the most 'unreal' outrageous life choices trending amongst her generation.

In Unreal! With Olivia Neill, the influencer presents a documentary about dating in the metaverse.

She embarks on a journey across the UK to meet people who have formed relationships through virtual reality (VR) technology.

Neill then tries VR dating herself to see if she can find her own Mr Right.

She says: "I've been on a journey the past few weeks to find out if virtual reality can help me fix my, quite frankly, disaster of a love life".

The new pilot programme was broadcast on BBC Three on May 29 and will appear on BBC NI on June 14.

Executive producers for the show, Jason Mitchell and Tom Payne, said the documentary could act as a launchpad for a full series in which Neill explores the topic.

“With Olivia’s genuine intrigue and infectious passion for the subject and the people she meets, we’ve created what we hope will become an exciting fact ent series,” they said in a joint statement.
