Man arrested in Shane Whitla murder probe released pending report to Public Prosecution Service

Police investigating the murder of Shane Whitla in Lurgan have released a 29-year-old man pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
The man returned for interview by detectives on Monday, a PSNI spokesperson said, after having been released pending further inquiries following his initial arrest on January 13 on suspicion of attempted murder and drugs-related offences.
Mr Whitla, a 39-year-old father-of-four, was shot dead in Lurgan on January 12. He was shot in an alleyway in the Woodville Street area before making his way to Lord Lurgan Park, where he collapsed and died.
Three men have since appeared in court charged with Mr Whitla's murder.
