THE funeral of a father of four who died after being attacked in Spain will take place this week.

Aaron Henderson (30) from the Coleraine area had been on holiday with his partner when he is believed to have been attacked in the popular tourist resort of Magaluf in Majorca during the early hours of April 27.

Mr Henderson, who worked for his family wholesale business in Coleraine, died in hospital on the Spanish island on May 1.

A 35-year-old man from Middlesbrough has been charged over the death.

Spanish police arrested Paul Lee Waugh on Tuesday. After court proceedings on Friday, he is being held on remand, facing a charge of homicide.

Originally from Middlesbrough, Mr Waugh is understood to have been working at a bar in Punta Ballena where Mr Henderson was found collapsed.
