THE body of a Co Derry man who died in Majorca is not expected to arrive home until next week.

Aaron Henderson, from the Coleraine area, died in hospital on Monday.

It is understood he was on holiday on the Spanish island with his partner Danielle Baxter and two young children.

While the cause of death has not yet been confirmed, reports have suggested Mr Henderson may have suffered serious head injuries after he was assaulted in Magaluf over the weekend.

Mr Henderson was well known in Coleraine and worked for a family wholesale business.

Yesterday, Paul Henderson Wholesales & Megastore thanked people for their "words of kindness and support".

In a Facebook post, the business said it was an "incredibly difficult time" for the family and "knowing how much Aaron was loved brings them great comfort".

The shop, which had been closed, reopened yesterday because "Aaron wouldn’t want to let down all the customers he’s come to think of as friends".

It is understood the family are being assisted by the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust which helps bring back to Ireland the remains of people who have died abroad.
