MARK Allen's run at the BetVictor Wlsh Open ended on Friday when he lost 5-1 to England's Robert Milkins.
In a scrappy and forgettable encounter which didn't feature a single break over 50, it was Milkins who won the close frames to reach a second successive semi-final.
He now faces Tian Pengfei of China, who beat world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan 5-0 to reach the semi-finals of a ranking event for the first time.
Saturday's other semi-final will feature Shaun Murphy, who whitewashed Yuan SiJun, and Pang Junxu, who beat Joe O'Connor 5-4.
