RACE 7 (9.35pm)

ROBBIES PAPPADUM...

The Baby of tonight’s Line up being only a Feb 17 whelp and owned by last year’s Gold Cup winning owner Shea Campbell. Extremely well-bred son of Droopys Jet x Holly and Berry, Robbies has made his way to the final in quiet fashion and has been rewarded with a favourable inside draw for tonight’s showdown.

One of the rank outsiders for overall victory but looks to have a bright future ahead of him as he will surely have learned much from the experiences to date.

Owner: Mr Shea Campbell (Armagh) Trainer: Owner

Probable SP: 12/1

PRESS PAWS...

This June 16 Son of Vans Escalade x Kathleens Holly has really shone in recent weeks and looks to be peaking at just the right time. A hugely impressive Trap to Line semi final display last week, showing tremendous early pace to go clear of rivals in the early stages. The draw has been kind and will be a major threat to the market leaders if again displaying those qualities this week. Under the care of popular local trainer Bobby Scullion, Press Paws would be a well received local winner if managing to oblige tonight.

Owners: Wanferyerself-Syndicate Trainer: Bobby Scullion

Probable SP: 9/2

EASTSIDE FLYER...

Incredible training Feat to get this son on Vulturi x Cromac Belle back competing never mind making a Blue Riband Final having sustained a potentially career ending injury earlier in the season. Before that setback Eastside Flyer looked like being one of the Leading Irish trackers this year having posted some fantastic times both at Dundalk and here at Drumbo. Whatever happens tonight it will be another feather in the cap of leading local Trainer Marina McKeown who will surely have this fella in the best shape possible for tonight.

Owner: Three-Headers-Syndicate Trainer: Marina McKeown

Probable SP: 10/1

DRUMILLER VIC...

This Sept 16 son of Ballymac Vic x Mays Pearl has deservedly made tonight’s final for Derby winning trainer Brendan Mullan. Vic has shown the early pace required to win a Gold Cup here at Drumbo Park winning his First Round Heat in impressive fashion and running well in last week’s semi final to finish second to Press Paws. Another Lightly raced sort who looks to have a bright future ahead of him. The race to the first bend will be crucial with so much early speed in tonight’s final.

Owner: Mr Peter McParland (Newry) Trainer: Brendan Mullan

Probable SP: 8/1

BAKERY LANE...

Came into this competition with a huge reputation having been this year’s Irish Laurels ante post Favourite eventually winning the Consolation final. Disappointed in the opening round when missing the break but made up for that in no uncertain terms last week when flashing from traps and going on to post an incredible 28.50 secs rated .30 slow. A similar display this week would see him very hard to beat in tonight’s final. The draw tonight is a slight concern as would ideally prefer closer to the rail but after last week’s performance Bakery is a worthy favourite for all-out glory.

Owner: Mrs June Maguire (Navan) Trainer: Oliver Bray

Probable SP: 4/6F

MONLEEK COLORADO...

This early paced son on Kinloch Brae x Moonleek Dawn has been a super servant to connections thus far this season, having posted wins at multiple venues over both two and four bends. Has to overcome a tricky Trap 6 draw in tonight’s final however . An impressive first round winner be came up against a dog on top form last week in Bakery Lane. The start tonight is crucial for Monleek and any slip ups in the early stages will prove costly to his chances having said that if winning the race to the first bend he could easily sweep on round to victory.

Owner: Mrs Rita Downey (Tullyallen) Trainer: John Downey

Probable SP: 4/1
