Mannok Fermanagh SFC Group A, round two

Enniskillen 1-8 Kinawley 0-5

CHAMPIONS Enniskillen Gaels made it two wins out of two in Mannok Fermanagh SFC Group A with a victory over Kinawley in Brewster Park.

A flying start to the contest laid the foundation to the win and Enniskillen never looked in any trouble as they sealed a six-point win to book their place in the knock-out stages of the competition.

The Gaels dictated the play in the opening 12 minutes as they raced into a 0-5 to 0-0 lead.

Conor Love clipped over the first score of the encounter, and this was followed by scores from Ross Bogue, Callum Jones, Love again and Conor McShea, while a couple of goal chances also went begging for the home side.

Kinawley finally picked up their first score in the 14th minute as Sean McManus knocked over before Tiernan McKenna landed a fine long-range effort to cut the gap to three.

The Gaels responded with a Jones free on the stroke of half-time and the game was put beyond Kinawley early in the second half as John Reihill fired to the net.

Love then stretched the lead out to eight, 1-7 to 0-2, and it was a low-key affair over the remainder of the half.

Sean McManus and Tomas Corrigan knocked over points for Kinawley but it was Enniskillen’s night as they finished up 1-8 to 0-5 victors.
