Armagh's Athletic Grounds will host the Ulster Club final between Crossmaglen and Scotstown

CROSSMAGLEN RANGERS will take on Scotstown at Armagh’s Athletic Grounds in the AIB Ulster Senior Club Championship final, it was revealed on Wednesday night.

After getting the better of Down champions Kilcoo, 0-12 to 0-8, in Newry last Sunday, John McEntee and Oisín McConville’s side, in their first provincial final since 2012, will take on their Monaghan opponents on a ground Cross know inside out on Sunday, November 29 at 3pm.

Scotstown, who ousted Tyrone’s Trillick St McCartan’s last weekend, will be bidding for their first Ulster title since 1989. That match will be preceded by the Ulster Junior final at the same venue at 1.15pm between another Monaghan side Rockcorry and Derry champions Faughanvale.

Rockcorry were 0-11 to 0-6 conquerors of Down side Glassdrumman in Armagh, while Faughanvale secured their final berth courtesy of a 2-11 to 1-9 victory over Cavan’s Templeport St Aidan’s.

The Intermediate final, which sees Down star Dan Gordon lead his Loughinisland team against Réalt na Mara of Bundoran has been scheduled to be played at Owenbeg, also on Sunday, November 29, with a 2.30pm throw-in.

Loughinisland cruised through by nine points, 4-7 to 1-7, at the Athletic Grounds, preventing Doohmalet from making it a Monaghan club in each final, while Bundoran eased past St Joseph’s, Glenavy at Páirc Esler on a 1-12 to 1-7 scoreline.
