STAR-STUDDED line-ups have been announced ahead of Monday’s special GAA charity game at St Patrick’s Park, Newcastle (7pm), with a total of 17 Allstars taking to the field.
The game has been organised as part of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open golf event in Newcastle next week and an Ulster select will do battle against a Rest of Ireland line-up at the home of Bryansford GAC.
Twenty counties across Ireland will be represented on the pitch, with the proceeds going to the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. Ulster GAA fans will be able to see what Stevie McDonnell, Paddy Bradley and Benny Coulter can do in the full-forward line with the technically brilliant Ciaran McDonald, Mattie Forde and Padraig Joyce wreaking havoc for the Rest of Ireland at the other end.
Down GAA legends Seán O’Neill and James McCartan junior will take charge of the Ulster team with All-Ireland winning manager Seán Boylan and John O’Mahony managing the opposition. Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children and can be purchased online at tickets.ie
