TWO staff members at a fast food outlet in Dublin have been shot during a robbery.

The men, aged 38 and 28, were injured in the incident at Edenmore, Coolock, shortly after midnight yesterday.

They were taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A man entered the takeaway restaurant at the Edenmore Shopping Centre armed with a handgun at around 12.20am, demanded cash and fired a number of shots.

Two men, aged 44 and 18, were later arrested in connection with the investigation.

They were taken to Coolock and Raheny Garda stations for questioning.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
