POLICE are investigating after a petrol bomb was thrown at a property in Co Armagh.

The PSNI received reports that the device had been thrown in the O'Donoghue Park area at around 8.10pm on Sunday.

A person who was in the property extinguished a fire after hearing a bang and seeing flames.

A man, described as tall and slim, who was dressed in dark coloured clothing, was seen making off from the area on foot in the direction of Orior Park, and towards Charlemont Square.

There were no reports of any injuries.
