A 38-year-old man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court next month charged with dangerous driving and causing death by dangerous driving.
It is understood the charges are in connection with a collision on the Upper Lisburn Road in Dunmurry shortly before 3.50pm on Sunday October 21.
George McCaul, who was 81, died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained.
The pensioner had been pushing a pram with a four-year-old child in it when the pair were struck by a car.
The 38-year-old man is due to appear before Belfast magistrates on Wednesday April 24.
