MANY of those who joined search for Dean McIlwaine will tomorrow attend the 22-year-old's funeral at his family's Co Antrim church.
His grieving parents, Rod and Karen and brother Glenn have withdrawn from the public eye as they try to come to terms with their loss following a high-profile hunt for the barber that lasted more than a week.
An intensive search of Cavehill Country Park by more than 400 volunteers and specialist rescue teams eventually located his remains on Saturday.
It has been confirmed in a funeral notice that Mr McIlwaine had died on July 13.
The arrangements are being handled by Shankill Road funeral directors Stephen McCosh, after he sent a private message to a family member via social media offering to help them free of charge because "the last thing on (the family's) mind should be huge funeral costs".
Mourners will gather at Carnmoney Presbyterian Church on Thursday for the 12.30 service.
Burial will be afterwards at Carnmoney cemetery.
