Here are the key announcements:
1. Nudges and Smart Reply

Aimed at improving general email organisation among users, Nudges will remind users to respond to emails they are yet to reply to.
Smart Reply meanwhile is an AI-powered expansion to a feature that is already in use on the mobile version of the service – offering AI-generated quick replies to messages to help speed up your response.
2. Confidential Mode

In a boost for user privacy, new Confidential Mode will enable users to remove the option to forward, copy, download or print messages if they’re sending sensitive information. A new self-destruct feature is also being introduced, which means users can send an expiration date for an email – after which time it will disappear – to help users stay in control of their information.
3. Snooze emails

When times get hectic and responding to every unread email in front of you isn’t possible, Google has added Snooze, which allows users to snooze an email in the same way they would an alarm – popping up again at a later time or date that’s more suitable.
4. Malware warnings

In a move to further beef up the security of Gmail, new alerts will appear when the app spots what it believes could be a malicious email.
5. Calendar, Tasks and Keep

Making the entire Gmail experience smoother, Google has added a side panel for quick access for some of its other most used services.
Now, alongside your inbox, users will be able to pull up their calendar in the same window should they need to confirm a meeting time over email. Tasks and note-taking app Keep are also accessible from the same panel, giving more productivity tools to users without requiring them to open a new window or tab.
