How do you unwind at the weekend?
My mum Belinda, older brother Adam and I have a big family catch-up over breakfast on Saturday at home in Ballyhackamore. It's not a fry as my mother's a fitness freak so her French toast involves organic eggs and not too much golden syrup.
We talk about what's happening in our lives, our dreams, goals and aspirations. My brother's a wrestler and his dream is to make WBO. We've also got a little rescue cocker spaniel, Pia, whom we take to Belmont Park for a big walk.
What do you recall about weekends growing up?
I was out on the street every weekend with my friend Megan and five or six boys. We played football, cricket and rounders. Or the boys did, and Megan and I walked up and down chatting. My mum, who is a big outdoorsy person and goes everywhere by bike, always sent me outside. None of us drive and we are 100 per cent eco-friendly. Mum took about 30 lessons but was a bit scared of the roads...
Do you have a must-listen weekend radio programme or podcast?
Northern Irish presenter Dean McCullough on BBC Radio 1 is inspiring. Elizabeth Day's How to Fail podcast with Holly Willoughby about overcoming anxiety was relatable. When I started my show in September I was nervous, thinking my voice was going out to thousands of people.
Is there a must-watch TV programme or Netflix?
At the minute we're watching The Morning Show on Apple TV with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon which is about a programme like This Morning and very funny. I miss The X Factor and love our musical director Wilson Shield's warm-ups, including the one that goes, 'Chicken tikka masala, mango chutney and a pint of lager'.
Have you a favourite eatery or is it a takeaway?
Villa Italia is our favourite - we've been going there since I was no age - and I love pasta.
Is Sunday still special?
Yes, very special and my favourite day of the week. We have our own faith and my mother would take us to a little Catholic chapel sometimes at the back of CastleCourt. We feel we have a guardian angel in the family as we've been through tough times and my father left when I was a baby.
Ulster Operatic Company's production of West Side Story is at the Grand Opera House in Belfast from May 10-14. goh.co.uk
