PROPERTY People Estate and Letting Agents recently held an evening of celebration for customers and friends of the business to mark the opening of their new branch lat 122 Lisburn Road, Belfast.

The occasion also coincided with the launch of a new service that incorporates accounting services for property investors as well as the traditional estate and letting agency services.

The occasion offered those in attendance the chance to network with like-minded property investors and to hear from a few speakers who had been invited. The first speaker of the evening was Miss Joanne McCann, chartered accountant.

Joanne has been an employee of Property People Estate Agents for over 10 years, fulfilling roles in lettings, short-term lets, property management, customer finance, bookkeeping and more recently as the company accountant.

Joanne introduced the new service offered by Property People in which customers can benefit from a seamless financial reporting and filing service, removing the need for chasing documents and communication between property management and accounting which can lead to unnecessary delays.

The main advantage of this new accounting service for landlords is regular meetings with your property management and accounting team under one roof providing tax planning, tax efficiency, and business planning ensuring cost-effectiveness and increased profitability.

This service is the first of its kind and Property People are excited to offer their customers a better, more efficient option that will ultimately save time and money.

The next speaker was William Davey of Milecross Finance, who gave an update on current mortgage products available for investors to raise finance and to answer the burning question: “Where does he think interest rates will go in the coming months?”.

In his own view, he advised investors to opt for a variable rate product as he feels that interest rates will drop shortly.

The final guests of the evening were Chris and Mary Selwood a husband-and-wife duo of property investors who have established Belfast’s premier property networking

event The Belfast Property Meet (BPM). This is a monthly event providing an opportunity for investors and people with an interest in property to network and hear from a range of special guests. The next meeting takes place today, May 2 and Tickets are available online for those who wish to attend.

All in attendance agreed that the evening was a great success and the new Property People office was hailed for looking amazing.
