Bob & Berts confirm location of new Belfast city centre coffee shop

COFFEE chain Bob & Berts is set to open its second store in Belfast city centre.

The Co Antrim company, which now has 26 shops across Northern Ireland, Scotland and the north of England, has secured a premises on one of Belfast’s busiest thoroughfares.

Property consultancy Frazer Kidd has confirmed Bob & Berts will open its next Belfast outlet on Ann Street.

The unit, previously leased to Shuropody Foot Clinic, is located at the Ann Street entrance to Pottinger’s Entry.

Bob & Bobs sole Belfast city centre shop is located on Fountain Street.

It also has a coffee shop in Stranmillis.

A decade on from opening their first shop in in Portstewart, co-founders Colin McClean and David Ferguson well on their way to reaching their goal of reaching 50 stores.

The company, which was financially backed by BGF in 2017, now have 14 outlets in the north, six in Scotland and another six in the north of England.

The new Belfast store will soon be joined by a new outlet in Wakefield, which will be its seventh in England.

Earlier this year Bob & Berts announced it plans to open six stores across England and Scotland by the end of 2023.

In a statement announcing the new Belfast letting, Bob & Berts said: “Our new Belfast site will trade alongside our other two stores in Belfast and will be located on Ann Street.

“With just over 100 seats over two levels, this store will have an updated look and feel and will be a great addition to Belfast and our estate.”
