BELFAST-based digital agency Made to Engage has been acquired by Unrvld in a move which will expand the London agency's European footprint.

Founded in 2011, it also has offices in Dublin and Amsterdam, and its 60-strong team of digital experts boosts the enlarged agency to more than 250 specialists across eight hubs in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

“This is a great day for the team at Made to Engage and it’s a great day for our clients,” its chief executive Steven Cassin said.

“We don’t do bloated processes and time-wasting tactics. Our stated beliefs of Growth Instinct, Partnership and Simplicity chime with Unrvld’s overarching vision.

“As digital pioneers, they are committed to solving their clients’ greatest business challenges. They lead with expertise to deliver on their most pressing growth ambitions.”

Over the past decade Made to Engage has left a major mark on the Northern Irish digital scene. As a highly awarded Optimizely Platinum partner, it has built an impressive roster of award-winning clients, including New Era Cap, Energia Group, Permanent TSB and Eason.

“With Unrvld, our clients will join a portfolio of brands across the sport, manufacturing, real estate and service sectors including The Open, Barratt Homes, Biffa, Southampton FC and NTT,” Cassin added.

“By joining Unrvld we widen our skillset and strengthen Unrvld’s commerce capabilities. We also broaden its DXP offering, bringing our Optimizely capabilities into the mix alongside Unrvld’s impressive Sitecore Platinum, Kentico Gold and InCrowd services.

“In today’s marketplace we need to expand our reach and consider best of breed across multiple platforms and integration points to make the impact on businesses we know that we can.”

Dan Berry, chief executive of Unrvld, which emerged following last year’s successful merger of Kagool and Delete, added: “Made to Engage brings deep Optimizely skills to our fast expanding digital family and widens our European reach, in line with our ambitious growth plans.

“Together, we will continue to drive Unrvld’s mission forwards – to improve our clients’ commercial success with ground-breaking digital products and services that improve their customers’ lives.”
