A BELFAST based digital agency is creating 40 new jobs as it looks to boost international export sales.

Made to Engage, which has offices in Belfast, Dublin and London, is making a major strategic investment as it looks to move into new markets. The 40 roles, 12 of which are already in place, will contribute over £1.3 million in additional salaries to the local economy and are based at the firm's new offices on Adelaide Street.

The jobs include developers, designers, software testers, digital specialists and a graduate academy and once in place will bring staff numbers at the company up to 72 people.

Made to Engage managing director, Steven Cassin said the latest investment will help build further upon the success of the previous year, which saw "exceptional growth" at the company.

“Our ambition is to become a leading provider of digital transformation services across the UK and Ireland by 2020 and we are well on our way to achieving this. These new roles will not only help us to grow upon our existing commitments, but more so, they will help to develop further business opportunities outside of Northern Ireland, specifically in Europe, the US, Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland," he added.

Invest NI has offered £240,000 of support towards the new roles and has provided a range of support to the company in the past towards job creation, investment in R&D and skills development. The agency also assisted the company on a US visit last year, which which resulted in a partnership deal with ecommerce platform, Avensia Storefront leading to a contract with Eason’s estimated to be worth over £300,000.

Brian Dolaghan, Invest NI’s director of technology and services added:

“Made to Engage is an award winning digital agency making an important strategic investment which will help it to succeed in new markets."

Just last year Made to Engage was recognised as the fastest growing digital agency in Northern Ireland and ranked 13th overall in the Deloitte Technology Fast50 Awards.
