McAuley Cup final to take place in Armoy on Friday night

The semi-final of the McAuley Cup will take place on Friday, June 23 at 7.30pm in Armoy between Loughgiel and Cushendall. The winners will play Kevin Lynch's Dungiven in the final. 


The McAuley cup is a senior hurling competition which is played annually in recognition of the late Paddy McAuley who was one of the key people involved in the reformation of Glen Rovers GAC Armoy back in 1968. 


To celebrate his achievements in promoting hurling in the Armoy/Glenshesk area Glen Rovers GAC Armoy dedicated the 'McAuley Cup' in his memory.  Various senior teams in North Antrim and Derry have participated in this competition over the years which continues to attract large crowds each year.
