Dan Quirke, father of Tipperary hurler, Dillon Quirke, has spoken on Ireland AM this morning about the death of his son last year.

24-year-old Dillon had become a regular starter for the Premier County hurlers, but on August 5 last year, while playing for his club Clonoulty–Rossmore, he collapsed suddenly and died on the pitch.

The Quirke family have set up a fundraiser with the help of the GAA community to raise funds for the Dillon Quirke Foundation – you can find the Go Fund Me page link below.
