ERIN’S OWN, CARGIN: The club extends an open invitation to anyone interested in playing social handball. Ulster handball development officer Darragh Daly will be running a free six week programme for adults starting on Thursday, March 2 in the main hall. Places are limited, contact a committee member to secure your place.

ATTICALL: To celebrate the club’s 60th anniversary, Holy Cross Park will hosting a unique clash between the Down senior team and a Mourne select on Saturday, March 11.

Under the watchful eye of All-Ireland winning manager Pete McGrath, the five teams of Mourne - Atticall, An Riocht, Ballymartin, Glasdrumman and Longstone - will come together to compete against Conor Laverty's men.

Gates open at 1pm, there will be a meet and greet with the Down team from 1.45pm-2.45pm, with throw-in at 3.30pm. Admission £7, no charge for U16s (pay at the gate, cash only). There will be live music, bar facilities, burgers, teas and coffees.

This is a cash-only event, with no card facilities. The matinee show takes place on Sunday at 3pm for anyone who can’t make the Saturday show.

ST OLIVER PLUNKETT’S, GREENLOUGH: Bingo will take place on Sunday from 2pm, £4,500 jackpot.

ST JOHN’S, DRUMNAQUOILE: The club has established a partnership with the Education Authority youth service to present ‘Change Ahead’. This free youth group, hosted on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm, is open to all P7 students which will run over six weeks. Children can explore their feelings about moving school, develop new skills and meet new people, and participate in different games and activities.
