Londis All-Ireland Senior Football 7s Final: Kilmacud Crokes, Dublin 1-11 An Riocht, Down 1-9

Kilmacud Crokes captured their sixth Londis All-Ireland Senior Football Sevens title, and a first since 2015 in Stillorgan on Saturday.

Johnny Magee's charges went unbeaten throughout the tournament, before taking silverware after a tight 1-11 to 1-9 win over An Riocht in the decider.

It was Crokes second win over the Down club in the competition, having accounted for them by just a point in the group stages.

Crokes accounted for 2018 Sevens and All-Ireland Club winners Corofin by 1-10 to 0-9 in the semi-final, while An Riocht beat fellow Down side Carryduff by 3-13 to 1-11 to reach their first ever decider.

Ben Shovlin netted Crokes only goal in the decider after just five minutes to help keep his side on top.

The hosts led by 1-6 to 0-5 at half-time, with Deaglan Morgan and Ronan Campbell keeping An Riocht in touch.

Crokes showed greater accuracy throughout, in a game where they registered all of their scores from play.

Crokes goalkeeper Padraig Purcell helped ensure a double-scores lead early on the restart with his second point.

In their first final, An Riocht battled hard and grabbed an injury-time goal from Morgan to cut the gap to two points.

The Down outfit continued to cause Crokes problems as they searched for a match-winning goal.

However, O'Brien put in a well placed block late on to ensure Karl Dias lifted the Cup.

Kilmacud Crokes' Cillian O'Shea was named the Londis Player of the Tournament afterwards.
