1 Rory Beggan (Monaghan)

NAMED between the sticks for the second week in-a-row after another class performance. Kick-outs were from the top drawer once again, and weighed in with three quality frees.

2 Colm Flanagan (Down)

THE Castlewellan man has taken to county football like a duck to water, and impressed again on Sunday, barely giving Gearoid O’Brien a kick. A real bright spot from Down’s League campaign.

3 Padraig Faulkner (Cavan)

WHEN Colm O’Neill only manages one point, and that comes a 45, you know you’ve had a good day. Faulkner is one of the more experienced heads on this impressive young Cavan outfit and provided a calming influence.

4 Ryan Wylie (Monaghan)

CAME into the Farney side for the suspended Barry Kerr and was outstanding throughout as Monaghan kept the Tyrone attack at bay.

5 Ryan McHugh (Donegal)

DONEGAL struggled with Kildare’s directness at times but McHugh helped steady the ship and was superb throughout. More than a touch of fortune about his goal - a long ball in that caught the wind and ended up in the top corner of Shaun Patton’s net.

6 Greg McCabe (Armagh)

STEADILY growing in influence on this Armagh team, and notched his first goal in county colours with a punched effort to put the Orchardmen into the ascendancy.

7 Caolan Mooney (Down)

HIS pace caused Clare problems all afternoon, though particularly in the first half. Won possession from two early Clare kick-outs and his searing pace brought about Donal O’Hare’s goal.

8 Killian Clarke (Cavan)

THE versatile Shercock man has been shunted from pillar to post in recent years, and his athleticism is a real asset for Mattie McGleenan at centrefield.

9 Patsy Bradley (Slaughtneil)

THE Slaughtneil captain produced a typical powerhouse display, even in defeat to Nemo Rangers. Made a fantastic first half block and won some huge catches as the Emmett’s laboured after the break.

10 Fintan Kelly (Monaghan)

THE best player on the pitch at Castleblayney, and helped Monaghan set the tone by racing into an early lead. Scored three of their opening four points as the Farneymen took the game by the scruff.

11 Dara McVeety (Cavan)

THIS year’s captain led by example en route to victory in Cork. A bundle of energy, his bursts from deep unsettled the Rebels time and again.

12 Ethan Rafferty (Armagh)

THE Grange man has been in red-hot form throughout the League and impressed again, scoring 0-5, as Offaly were brushed aside.

13 Ryan Murray (Antrim)

A CONSTANT thorn in the side of the London defence, finishing with eight points, six from play.

14 Seamus Quigley (Fermanagh)

LOOKING lean and mean, the elder Quigley continues to rack up the scores in Division Three, landing 1-8 in Fermanagh’s victory over Derry, displaying his predatory instincts to flick home past Ben McKinless for the Erne County’s only goal.

15 Patrick McBrearty (Donegal)

LANDED four points, three from play, in Donegal’s much-needed victory over Kildare. A huge danger in the Tir Chonaill attack.
