Uefa Europa Conference League second qualifying round, first leg

Linfield 2 Pogon Szczecin 5

LINFIELD have it all to do in Poland next week after coming out the wrong side of a seven-goal thriller against Pogon Szczecin at Windsor Park.

Kamil Grosicki opened the scoring for the Polish side from the penalty spot in the 14th minute.

The award came after Matthew Clarke had pulled down Luka Zahovic when he was clear on goal, the Linfield skipper picking up a yellow card in the process.

Joao Gamboa doubled the lead five minutes before half-time. Skipper Grosicki put in an outswinging corner which the Portuguese met at the near post to head past Chris Johns.

Danny Finlayson gave the Blues hope with a strike on 56 minutes but within 10 minutes Mariusz Malec and Efthymios Koulouris had extended the lead for the visitors to 4-1

Ben Hall did pull another back for David Healy’s side but Mariusz Fornalczyk finished the scoring and Linfield have it all to do in next week’s second leg.
