Ballymena United upset the odds to produce a 2-0 win over Premiership table toppers Larne with two second half goals in the semi-final of the Irish Cup.
The Sky Blues stole ahead in the 69th minute when Craig Farquhar headed home a Ross Redman corner.
They doubled that lead minutes before the full-time whistle when Dougie Wilson fired a beauty into the top corner of the net nine minutes from time.
David Jeffrey’s side were full value for their victory and possibly should have been ahead before the break, but for the heroics of Larne keeper Rohan Ferguson.
League leaders Larne had plenty of possession on the night but couldn’t make it count on the scoreboard with their off-form performance.
Ballymena advance to the final, their third appearance in four years, where they await the winners of Dungannon Swifts and Crusaders.
