Sean McNally: No chance with McGuigan’s pile-driver but he might have done better when Paul Cassidy toe-poked the ball into the net. Long kick-outs didn’t pay off but he landed a second half 45. 5.5

Luke Flanagan: Worked on the left-hand side of midfield where he tracked Ethan Doherty. Got his hands on a lot of ball and pushed forward when he could. 6

Che Cullen: Hard going in defence, brilliant in attack. McGuigan turned him for Derry’s opening goal and again later in the first half when he blasted over the bar. Switched onto Niall Loughlin at the break and pushed forward to score two fine goals. 6.5

Cian McManus: Spent the first half as the sweeper fighting fires in the Fermanagh defence. Picked up Niall Toner in the second. Battled hard. 6

Jonathon Cassidy: He tracked Loughlin in the first half and switched onto McGuigan in the second. Kept the chin up and stuck to his task. 6.5

Shane McGullion: A difficult evening for the Fermanagh defence. Tried to plug the holes as stop the Derry runners which wasn’t an easy task. 5.5

Lee Cullen: Struggled to match Paul Cassidy’s pace and movement and lost him for Derry’s second goal. Also had a hand in his brother’s second goal. 6

Ryan Jones: Scored Fermanagh’s first point which was a beauty. Two wides followed. Dropped deep into a playmaking role. Cassidy breezed past him for his goal. 6

Brandon Horan: Picked up Brendan Rogers who dominated their duel. Substituted at half-time. 5

Aidan Breen: Cut in from the left and split the posts in the first half. That was the highlight for the Tempo clubman. 5.5

Ryan Lyons: Two out of two from frees for the Erne Gaels forward. Had to work hard defensively. 6

Ronan McCaffrey: Won the ball bravely near the Derry posts and passed to Cullen who found the net. Had two scoring attempts himself and denied Doherty with a brave block. 6

Ultan Kelm: The best Fermanagh player on view and he attacked the Derry defence with pace. Left McKaigue in his wake for his first half point and managed two more. 7

Darragh McGurn: Had two attempts at catching Odhran Lynch off his line in the first half. Short with one, wide with the second. Played deeper in the second half and battled hard. 6

Josh Largo-Elis: Never able to make inroads into the Derry defence. The Oak Leafers kept a close eye on him and, although he worked hard, he couldn’t turn the tide. 5.5

Substitutes:

Declan McCusker: Replaced Horan at the break. Brought down Heron for the Derry penalty but managed a point at the other end. 6.5

Conor McShea: On for Breen at half-time and drove forward when he could. 5.5

Conall Jones: Replaced McManus and was stationed up front. Didn’t get the supply he wanted. 5

Garvan Jones: On for Lyons in the closing stages. 5

Fionan O’Brien: Not on long enough to be rated.
