RunForestRun 10K set to hit Belfast

The inaugural RunForestRun 10K will take place on February, 8 in Belfast.

The race is organised by BORN2RUN events who have carved out a reputation for putting together quality races over the past couple of years.

BORN2RUN's motto is 'Great Races in Great Places' as most of their races are multi-terrain affairs which offer runners a mix of surfaces on which to race.

In the past they have organised races on beaches, boardwalks, lakeshores and mountain trails. RunForestRun is a series of four forest races and Minnowburn is the third. The first two were held in Tollymore Forest in Co Down and Gosford Forest in Co Armagh.

The final race will take place in Rossmore Forest in Monaghan on March 2.

All runners who take part in the Minnowburn race will receive a commemorative medal and those who complete all races in the series will receive a Four Forest Finisher T-shirt.

The Gosford event attracted a field of over 500 runners from all over Ireland.

The Belfast race is anticipated to attract similar numbers. RunForestRun Minnowburn starts and finishes on the Mary Peters Track. For more information or to enter please go to www.born2runevents.com.
