Essex lorry deaths: Accused Co Down man Eamonn Harrison 'a man of modest means'

A Northern Irishman has appeared at Dublin High Court in connection with the deaths of 39 people found in a container in Essex.

Eamonn Harrison, 22, of Mayobridge in Newry, Co Down, appeared on Monday morning for mention regarding a European Arrest Warrant to have him transferred to the UK.

He applied for senior counsel representation and will return to court in Dublin on November 21.

Police are seeking the extradition of Mr Harrison

He is to face 39 manslaughter charges and two conspiracy charges.

The High Court in Dublin heard that Mr Harrison was "a man of modest means".
