A Co Tyrone country music star will have her eyes on the glitter ball tomorrow night when she takes to the floor for the semi-finals of RTE's Dancing with the Stars.
Ballinderry singer Cliona Hagan and her dance partner Robert Rowinski have so far sailed through the competition with a series of stunning performances.
A gruelling schedule of rehearsals of between 6-8 hours per day helped her become first contestant to score the perfect score of 30 when she danced a waltz in week eight.
The performer took a short break from her successful singing career to become one of 11 celebrity contestants on the third series of the show and is now one of only four dancers left.
A spokeswoman for Cliona, who studied music at Queen's University, Belfast, said she is "excited to be the first contestant in the programme's history to represent the north and did not expect to reach the semi finals".
"Cliona is overwhelmed by the support she has received from her fans and supporters both north and south and she can’t thank enough the viewers at home for voting to help Cliona remain in the competition," she said.
"Cliona now has her sights firmly set on reaching the final next week and is practising relentlessly with pro dance Partner Robert Rowinski to give it the best shot she possibly can this Sunday evening".
She added: "Cliona admits that she is totally out of her comfort zone having had no previous dance experience however she is loving every minute of it and is fully embracing her new dance experience and is ready for the challenge".
Dancing with the Stars is on RTE One tomorrow night at 7pm.
