COUNTRY music fans are set to get an inside look at the wedding of an Irish music star.

Singer Cliona Hagan and her husband Simon Sheerin invited TV cameras to follow them in the run up to their big day, which was billed the showbiz wedding of the year in Ireland last May.

In Cliona & Simon: From This Moment, viewers will be able to watch the couple shop for their wedding outfits and plan their hen and stag parties.

Cliona (33), who is from Ballinderry in Co Tyrone and who has been Female Vocalist of the Year for four years, was swept off her feet when Simon proposed in December 2020, with a large square diamond ring.

Surrounded by more than 200 family, friends and fellow musicians, the couple got married in Kilronan Castle Hotel in Roscommon.

Speaking to The Sunday Life, Cliona said: "I am so excited for everyone to see the show. Cameras followed us in the lead-up to the wedding and it will be great to have that to look back on in years to come," she said.

"We are just enjoying our new married life and it’s brilliant being married to your best friend. I am very grateful and thankful."

:: Cliona & Simon: From This Moment is on BBC One NI at 10.40pm on Wednesday.
