A man in his thirties has died after his car left the road and crashed into the Royal Canal in Co Kildare this morning.
The incident took place at Allenwood South, near Naas, at around 6am.
The dead man was the only occupant of the car and no other vehicle was involved.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place.
