A murder investigation is underway in Co Kildare after a man in his 40s who was assaulted this week has died.
Gardaí found the man, who is understood to be Polish, in the Piercetown area of Newbridge around 10.30am on Wednesday.
It is understood the victim was beaten and seriously injured after a row broke at a house.
A man in his 30s has since been arrested and is currently being held at Newbridge Garda Station, while Gardaí say they are also speaking with a number of people helping them with their enquiries.
