TWO roads remain closed following crashes in Co Antrim and Co Down on Wednesday.

The Cullybacky Road outside Ballymena is closed at the junction with Teeshan Road following a serious collision.

A PSNI spokesperson said on Wednesday evening: "Local diversions are in place and officers are directing traffic. Please seek an alternative route for your journey at this time."

In Crossgar, Co Down, the Downpatrick Road remains closed to motorists following a crash.

"Emergency services are at the scene. Please avoid the area at this time and seek an alternative route for your journey. Local diversions are in place at the Crossgar Road," a PSNI spokesperson said.

The NI Ambulance Service has been contacted.
