GARDAÍ investigations are underway after three people lost their lives in separate collisions in the Republic over the weekend.
The three incidents, all of which took place between Saturday night and Sunday morning, included two pedestrians being killed.
A male pedestrian in his 40s died when he was struck by a vehicle on the M1 motorway at Dundalk in Co Louth in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The collision happened at the junction 16 southbound area at around 2.45am.
The pedestrian died at the scene, while the driver of the vehicle and two passengers were treated by paramedics for non-life threatening injuries.
Gardaí closed the scene of the incident to allow for a technical examination, and witnesses to the collision have been urged to contact them.
In Co Kerry, a male in his late teens died after he was struck by a vehicle on the R555 road at Duagh Village in the Listowel area.
The collision happened at around 9.50pm on Saturday evening, and the teenager was rushed to Kerry University Hospital but later died of his injuries.
The driver of the car involved in the crash and three passengers were uninjured, a Gardaí spokesperson said, while an appeal has been launched for witnesses or those with dash-cam footage to come forward.
Meanwhile, a driver in his 20s died in an early morning crash in Co Roscommon.
The incident happened in the Scrine Hill area, close to the village of Athleague shortly before 3am.
It is understood the vehicle overturned in the crash, fatally injuring the driver, and the road remained closed on Sunday to allow for a technical examination.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses or drivers with dash-cam footage to contact them.
Post-mortems on all three victims of the weekend's fatal crashes are to take place.
