A search and rescue operation remained ongoing on Monday at one of Co Donegal's most popular tourist areas.
The operation is focused on the Slieve League area in the south of the county.
Access to the sea cliffs was restricted by Gardaí, with a spokesperson for the force saying its officers had joined emergency services in an "operation".
“Public access is currently restricted to facilitate this operation," they said.
"As this is an ongoing operation, no further information is available.”
The Irish Coast Guard confirmed a rescue helicopter was assisting Gardaí in what it said was an ongoing missing person's search.
