Final preparations underway for Harry Styles' massive Slane Castle gig
Final preparations are underway for former One Direction star Harry Styles’ massive Slane Castle gig.
An estimated 80,000 fans are expected at the Co Meath venue as live music returns there for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.
As part of the Love on Tour show, the historic venue will be transformed into Harry’s House before the pop star’s arrival.

Ahead of the show, fans have been keen to catch glimpse of the singer out and about in the area.
When Harry last played in Ireland at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium in June 2022, he famously showed his love of the Emerald Isle’s enviable swimming spots by going for a dip at the Vico Baths in Dalkey.
To honour this moment and celebrate Harry’s visit to Ireland’s Ancient East, Fáilte Ireland has commissioned a bespoke pair of swimming shorts for Harry, so he is primed and ready to take the plunge in style.
Emma Woods, Head of Marketing Communications at Fáilte Ireland said: “We are delighted to welcome Harry Styles back to Ireland. Like so many of us, Harry likes to take a dip in Irish waters, so to celebrate this, we commissioned a pair of swimming shorts that he can wear for his next dip.
"We have also sent Harry a bespoke list of great swimming spots in Meath and the wider Ireland’s Ancient East region, so fans should keep their eyes peeled over the weekend.”
Harry is not the first celebrity to visit the famous baths. Matt Damon was photographed going for a swim in Dalkey carrying a SuperValu bag during the first lockdown in 2020.
With the good weather set to continue, Fáilte Ireland encourages Harry and his fans to check out some of the other prime swim spots Ireland has to offer. These include Bettystown Beach, Co Meath, Brittas Bay South Beach, Co Wicklow and Carlingford Lough, Co Louth.
Slane has become one of the most celebrated outdoor concerts in the country, hosting stars like Madonna, Queen, U2, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie and, most recently, Metallica in 2019.
Gates on Saturday (June 10) will open at 2pm, with support coming from UK indie band Wet Leg, Irish pop-rockers Inhaler, Irish DJ Annie MacManus, and a solo set from Styles’ guitarist Mitch Rowland.
Styles is expected to take to the stage around 8.30pm, with a mix of hits from across Styles’ three solo albums, with the bulk of the set coming from his most recent Harry’s House.
