Man stabbed several times in north Belfast flat

A MAN in his thirties was stabbed several times in his flat in north Belfast the early hours.

At around 12.20am, police received a report the man had been attacked following a row at the property on Queen's Parade in the New Lodge.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

It is understood that those involved in the row are known to each other.

Sinn Féin councillor JJ Magee said he was appalled by the stabbing.

"These brutal attacks have a severely damaging impact on our entire city and must stop immediately," he said.

"Anyone with information about this stabbing should bring it forward to the police immediately."

Police appealed to anyone with information to contact them on 101.
