AN investigation has been launched after a man was robbed in Belfast City Centre.

The victim, who was riding a bike towards North Street in the direction of Peter's Hill, was leaning against railings in the Laws Court area around 7.10pm when he felt a blow to the back of the head.

He was then confronted by two men.

One is described as approximately 50-years-old, 6ft tall, wearing glasses and a red raincoat.

The other is said to be approximately 5ft 8in in height and had his face covered with a scarf.

A number of items were stolen from the victim including a black Carrera Vengeance mountain bike with a front light lock and a sum of money.
