THE Irish News has been nominated for regional daily newspaper of the year.

The newspaper is shortlisted in the News Awards 2021 along with nominees including the Evening Standard and the Liverpool Echo.

The Irish News has also been nominated for news website of the year.

Interpress NI, the sister company of The Irish News, is nominated for regional newspaper printer of the year.

The award winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on November 11.

The newspaper was second in the UK's top 10-selling regional daily newspapers between January and June of this year.
