Police are not treating the death of a west Belfast woman as suspicious.

Jamie-Lee Wilson was last seen in the Turf Lodge area at around midday last week and was heading towards the Springfield Road.

In a statement on Wednesday, police confirmed a woman's body was found in Dundrod yesterday.

"Police can confirm that the body of a woman was found in the Dundrod area yesterday evening, Tuesday 17 August.

"A post mortem will be carried out in due course to determine the cause of death but it is not being treated as suspicious at this time. There are no further details."

The announcement came following the discovery of a car fitting the description of Jamie-Lee's black Volvo at Dundrod, Co Antrim.

On Tuesday her brother, Anthony McCabe, said her belongings, including her phone and bank card, were found in the vehicle.

In a tweet on Tuesday night, relative Emma Rainey, who had earlier shared images of Jamie-Lee’s car wrote: “Unfortunately it isn’t good news.”

She added: “Deep down I think we already knew since this morning.”
