FOUR new Belfast Bikes docking stations are to be installed in areas outside the city centre.

The proposed locations are Antrim Road/Waterworks, Lisnasharragh Leisure Centre, Olympia Leisure Centre and the Kennedy Centre.

The bike scheme began in 2015 and currently boasts 400 bikes with 47 docking stations.

Funding has been provided through the departments for Infrastructure and Communities.

Infrastructure minister Nichola Mallon said: "The Belfast Bikes project has been hugely successful and has already helped to make cycling much more accessible for both residents and visitors to the city."
