AN engagement ring stolen during a burglary in Co Tyrone last year has been recovered by the PSNI.

The jewellery was discovered by officers yesterday during a police operation in Newry.

The ring was taken from the Keery Road area of Bready on May 19 last year.

Suspected Class B drugs and a mobile phone were also seized during yesterday's search.

A PSNI spokesman said: "It is extremely pleasing to be able to reunite the owner with her possession. An engagement ring is an extremely personal and sentimental item, and the owner was delighted with this outcome."
