Coronavirus: 10 further deaths and 290 new cases

There have been a further 10 coronavirus deaths recorded in Northern Ireland during past 24 hours and 290 new cases diagnosed. 

The official death toll now stands at 996.

The 290 new cases came from tests on 1,866 individuals, taking the total number of positive tests to 52,465.

There are 427 confirmed Covid-19 patients in hospital, with 36 in ICU and 29 of whom are on ventilators.

Belfast has had the highest number of new cases in the past 24 hours with 41, followed by Derry City and Strabane with 37 and Mid and East Antrim with 34.
