THE 34-year-old man who died in Co Armagh was a Polish national.
The body of the man, who has not been named, was found in a house on Derrynoose Road in Derrynoose shortly after 11am on Wednesday.
The Fire Service said there had been a recent fire in a downstairs bedroom.
It is understood the man had family members living in Co Monaghan.
Police said they are still investigating the circumstances of the fire.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out.
A PSNI spokeswoman said the death is "not being treated as suspicious at this time, however, evidence of a recent fire at the property was discovered and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire is now underway".
SDLP councillor Thomas O'Hanlon said he was saddened to learn of the man's death.
"It is a very sad time when anyone loses their life but particularly when someone dies in such tragic circumstances," he said.
