FAR-RIGHT group Britain First has ended a legal attempt to have one of its pages reinstated on Facebook.
Injunction proceedings were issued against the social media giant at the High Court in Belfast.
Lawyers representing Britain First had sought an order compelling Facebook to restore the page 'Britain First Northern Ireland' to its platform.
But the court was told that the application was no longer continuing, with judgment entered for the defendant.
Britain First brought the action amid claims of political discrimination.
Facebook first removed pages linked to the grouping and its leaders in March last year.
The decision was made for posting material deemed to have broken community standards.
Last month the company imposed a ban on a number of far-right organisations and individuals it said "spread hate".
Among those on the prohibited list were Britain First, its leader Paul Golding and former deputy leader Jayda Fransen.
