A 31-year-old man arrested on suspicion of drug offences following the search of a house in Co Down has been released on bail.

Police searched a property in the Maypole Hill area of Dromore at around 7.15pm on Thursday.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of criminal property.

"A quantity of suspected cannabis, a large sum of cash and a number of other items were seized for further forensic examination.

"The man has since been released on bail, pending further police enquiries.

"We are pleased to have been able to take these drugs out of circulation."
