A FUND which helps bring home the bodies of Irish people who have died abroad has been given a £185,000 boost.

The money for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Fund was raised in memory of Tiarnan Rafferty, from Galbally, Co Tyrone, who was killed in a motorcycle crash in Australia in February.

Mr Rafferty was just 22 when he died.

Colin and Eithne Bell, from Newry, set up the charity after their 26-year-old son Kevin was killed in a suspected hit-and-run in New York in 2013.

They were handed a cheque for £185,000 at Galbally Community Centre last night.
