STAFF at an off-licence have been threatened by robbers armed with a claw hammer.

Two men entered the shop on the Upper Malone Road in south Belfast at around 9.45pm on Friday.

Police said after threatening staff and demanding money, they fled with cash in the direction of the Taughmonagh estate.

Staff were uninjured but left shaken.

Both men are described as being in their late 20s to early 30s.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact officers on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
